DBM Awards System
Maintenance Project to IPC
January 3, 2007
Malacanang Compound, Manila - The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC)
of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has finalized
the awarding of the multimillion peso "Software Maintenance of
the e-Budget and Existing DBM Information Systems" project to
IPC. After passing the stringent requirements of a Negotiated
Purchase process, IPC signed the contract with DBM last December
20, 2006 at the Malacanang Palace in Manila. Present at the signing
ceremonies were IPC President Emmanuel Rey Caintic, IPC CFO Ma.
Victoria Mangonon-Caintic, CFA, DBM Secretary Hon. Rolando G.
Andaya and DBM Assistant Secretary Mariliza V. Reyes.
The project poses a fitting challenge to the seasoned team IPC
has placed for the project as they are now set to handle the e-Budget,
the system that handles the country's over one trillion Peso national
budget, among other key systems of the DBM. The project is set
to advance DBM further in their drive to promote and lead the
e-Governance vision of the Philippine Government.
IPC to
Improve Vector™ Financial Applications Suite
November 25, 2006
In its untiring drive towards innovation, IPC has decided to embark on an improvement project for their promising Vector™ Financial Applications Suite. The move was finalized in a special meeting of the Board of Directors held last October, 2006. In the resolution, the Board has decided to pursue Vector™ v2.0 as one of its priority projects. To be based heavily on the functioning Vector™ v1.0, v2.0 shall provide even more flexibility and adaptability than ever before. The new version shall also allow financial institutions to completely streamline their operations without the need for additional backroom manpower, thereby allowing them to focus their resources on marketing their products. Vector™ also aims to allow financial institutions, whether big or small, to enter previously underserved markets. This will allow them to explore and tap these markets while minimizing their risk. Several financial institutions, as well as hardware and software resellers, have already indicated great interest in what promises to be a revolutionary product. For more information on Vector™, please feel free to send your inquiries to info@ipc-tech.com. Our marketing staff will be more than happy to address your queries.
IPC Christmas Party at Esquinita Bar
December 27, 2006
In true IPC fashion, the 2006 Christmas party was filled with fun, camaraderie and, of course, singing. IPC management, employees, partners and guests filled to the brim the venue, Bl_e Without U Bar in Esquinita near the ABS-CBN compound. After a short program opened by welcoming remarks from IPC President Emmanuel Rey Caintic, guests went on to the serious business of eating. Once the veritable feast had been significantly diminished, the guests were showered with prizes in a series of games. Afterwards, the videoke system of Bl_e Without U Bar was put to good use by those gutsy enough to sing, good and bad alike. It was, so far, the most well-attended company Christmas Party to date but with the rate things are going, the next one promises to be bigger and better.
IPC Holds First Outsourcing Symposium
November 29, 2006
With its continued rapid growth, IPCs management has seen the
need to go beyond their office walls to augment their already
strong internal team in completing projects. Although non-key
project components had already been outsourced in the past, the
continually increasing amount of work assigned to these partners
has prompted IPC management to formalize the structure. This will
ensure quality of work and timely submissions, as well as allow
for a very flexible workforce complement. To properly orient these
outsourcing partners on IPC standards and practices, an Outsourcing
Symposium was held last November 25, 2006 at the IPC Training
Center in Xavierville Ave., Loyola Heights, Q.C. The symposium
aimed to uphold the high quality standards and ethics central
to the thrust of IPC and to familiarize the partners with the
collaboration technologies and tools to be used. The attendees
were presented with a brief introduction to the organization and
a thorough discussion of the practices to which they are expected
to adhere.
The event was attended by top IPC management, IPC team members
and current and potential outsourcing partners. In tune with IPC
tradition, the event was very informal with emphasis on bonding
and camaraderie, maintaining the collegial air IPC has always
held.
